Frequently Asked Questions

General Licensing F.A.Q's

Do the beats still contain voice tags after I purchase a licence?

No. Every beat you buy—regardless of the licence tier—comes 100 % tag-free. The watermark you hear in the preview version is automatically stripped from the downloadable files the moment your payment is processed, so the WAV/MP3 (and stems, if included) you receive are completely clean and ready for professional use.

How do I know which license I need?

First you should figure out what kind of success you see yourself having with the song, and how many times you think the song will be streamed online. Next you want to think about what files you need to record your song, MP3, WAV and/or Trackout/Stems. Once you know this, you’ll see all the terms for each license listed for you to easily choose a license.

For a side-by-side comparison of every licence tier—plus sample contracts—check out our Beat Licence page.

What exactly comes with my purchase?

As soon as your purchase goes through, your files will be ready for download on the confirmation page. You can grab them later anytime by logging into your account—the receipt email we send to your inbox includes a direct account link. The files arrive in MP3, WAV format and/or  Stems (Trackouts) depending on the licence you selected.

I leased a beat—what happens if someone else later buys exclusive rights?

Your lease remains valid for its entire term and usage limits. Exclusive sales never cancel prior licences.

Non-exclusive vs. exclusive—what’s the difference?
  • Non-Exclusive (Lease): Limited sales/stream caps; the same beat can be leased to multiple artists (except unlimited rights leasing license/s).

  • Exclusive: Unlimited use across all media, no expiration. After an exclusive sale, the beat is removed from the store (aside from upgrades for existing leaseholders).

Can I get beats for free and pay later?

No. Tagged demo versions are already available for non-profit use. Commercial releases always require a paid licence.

Will you remove a sold beat from the site?

Sold with exclusive rights can be taken down from our storefront. Leased beats remain listed.

I think I may have infringed—what should I do?

Contact us. We prefer amicable resolutions and can often work out a fair remedy if you reach out proactively.

I suspect someone else stole your beat—Where do I report it?

Send any evidence or links via email. We appreciate your help protecting our work.

Beat Usage F.A.Q's

Can I monetize my song once I buy a licence?

Yes. Every licence we offer allows you to release and monetize your track—whether that’s on streaming platforms, digital stores, CDs, or other commercial outlets. The only difference is scale: higher-tier licences raise or remove caps on streams, downloads, physical sales, radio spins, and ad revenue.

For a side-by-side comparison of every licence tier—plus sample contracts—check out our Beat Licence page.

What can I do with free/demo downloads?

Free demo downloads are for non-commercial, non-profit purposes only (e.g., drafts or preview uploads). You must credit InsaneBeatz in the title or description. Monetisation, sales or distribution beyond demos are not allowed without a paid licence.

Can I resell or transfer my licence?

No. Resale or transfer to third parties is strictly prohibited.

How do I properly credit you?

Use one of the following in titles, descriptions, or cover notes:
Prod. by InsaneBeatz • Beat by InsaneBeatz • Produced by Insane-Beatz.com
For downloadable files, include “(Prod. InsaneBeatz)” in the filename.

Our content-ID partner flags videos containing our music to prevent unauthorised monetisation.

  • No licence: The claim simply disables ads—no strike is issued.

  • With licence: Email us your video link and we’ll whitelist it.

Can I upgrade my license later?

Absolutely. If the beat is still available exclusively, you can upgrade from any lease to a higher tier or exclusive. We’ll credit what you’ve already paid toward the new price. Just contact us.

Can I edit or rearrange a beat after downloading it?

Yes—if you’ve purchased any paid licence, you’re free to shorten, extend, remix, or otherwise modify the instrumental to fit your project. However, free demo downloads may not be altered in any way, and their voice tags must remain intact.

Payment F.A.Q's

Which payment methods can I use?

PayPal and all major credit cards are always accepted. Depending on your location, additional local payment options may appear at checkout—these are automatically tailored to the country you’re browsing from.

Do you have bundle deals?

Yes—mix-and-match bundles are available for every licence tier.

Licence TypeAdd-to-Cart RulesWhat You PayWhat You Get
Non-ExclusiveBuy 2, Get 3 FreePay for 2Receive 5 beats
Non-ExclusiveBuy 3, Get 5 FreePay for 3Receive 8 beats

Tip: Bundle pricing only applies when every beat in the cart shares the same licence type. If you have a valid coupon code, its discount stacks on top of the bundle price.

Can I exchange beats or get a refund?

Digital products are non-refundable once delivered (see Terms & Conditions). If you purchased the wrong beat by mistake and the licence hasn’t been issued yet, contact us immediately—otherwise exchanges aren’t possible.

Can I upgrade my licence later?

Absolutely. If the beat is still available exclusively, you can upgrade from any lease to a higher tier or exclusive. We’ll credit what you’ve already paid toward the new price. Just contact us.

Can I get beats for free and pay later?

No. Tagged demo versions are already available for non-profit use. Commercial releases always require a paid licence.

I paid but didn’t receive my files—what now?
  • Instant store: You should receive download links within seconds. If not, check spam first.

  • Manual payment: Please allow up to one business day for delivery. If nothing arrives after 24 h, email us with your order details so we can investigate.

General F.A.Q's

I heard a beat elsewhere but can’t find It here—why?

It was probably sold exclusively and removed from public sale. Still, email us the reference; occasionally a track is placed off-site or on hold.

How do I properly credit you?

Use one of the following in titles, descriptions, or cover notes:
Prod. by Insane-Beatz • Beat by Insane-Beatz • Produced by Insane-Beatz.com
For downloadable files, include “(Prod. Insane-Beatz)” in the filename.

Do you create custom beats or remixes?

At this time we’re not taking on custom-beat or remix projects. If that changes, we’ll post an update on the website and our social channels. In the meantime, feel free to explore our existing catalogue—new instrumentals are added regularly.

I asked for feedback but haven’t heard back.

We listen to every submission, but high volume means we can’t reply to everyone. Please send streaming or download links rather than attachments to avoid spam filters.
